Sheep Chic

Over the years of reading shelter magazines, blogs, and visiting beautiful houses, I noticed that there are fuzzy sheep sculptures present in many of the well appointment rooms.

It was high time I found out what those chic sheep were all about. These highly valued decorative art sculptures are sold at auction upwards of the high six figures and they have inspired copies at various prices.

“..known as the Moutons de Laine, François-Xavier’s celebrated sheep sculptures were first presented with the title Pour Polytheme, a reference to a passage in Homer’s Odyssey. It describes how Ulysses and his comrades blind the cyclops Polyphemus, and escape from his cave by clinging to the bellies of his giant sheep.”

Muddy Hues

When I see an unusual color in one place, my brain is turned on to notice it elsewhere. These muddy hues of red keep showing up for me.
