At A Glance, January 2021

A gathering of what I find notable for the month.

Trompe l’oeil loafers by Vivaia Collection. Uppers made from plastic bottles.
Royal Asia Prawn Dumplings from Whole Foods.
Comedian Connor Ratliff is obsessed with why he was fired from a Tom Hanks directed project over a decade ago. In excavating why, he hears other people’s stories of rejection and perspective in this entertaining podcast.
Denim Coat, Club Monaco.
I find it mesmerizing to watch beautiful shoes be restored to their proper glory.
I don’t eat fast food, but I love that Burger King is bringing back the old school logo.

You should really consider freezing your credit if you don’t have any big purchases coming up. Freezing your credit restricts access to your credit file, thwarting someone from opening an account in your name. I can’t think of a more compelling reason to protect your credit from identity theft. You have to lift it temporarily if you are making a big purchase like buying a car, a home or a Peloton. I have made it easy for you by attaching the links to do so with the major credit bureaus. https://www.equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services/credit-freeze/ https://www.experian.com/freeze/center.html https://www.innovis.com/securityFreeze/index. https://www.transunion.com/credit-freeze
