Mid century modern furniture popularity has been rising over the last decade. Who hasn’t heard of an Eames chair or Saarinen table, or seen the reproductions in West Elm? The decorative and functional arts of that time have also become popular. One of the most prolific contributors was the principal designer for Dansk, sculptor and designer, Jens Quistgaard. He brought his Danish sensibility to define the mid century modern age with function meets form. Note that the lid of the cookware is also a trivet. Quistgaard passed away in 2008. Vintage pieces are valuable in the resale market, but you can always buy new at home specialty retailers.
